The movie begins with a glimpse into each of the three guy’s working conditions. Nick works in a typical office building where his boss, Dave, scrutinizes him over every single minute. Kurt works for a family-operated chemical company with a loving owner but has to deal with his idiot son. Dale works as a dental assistant to a sex-crazed lunatic who just wants to play with his junk all day. After continually complaining about their problems over beers after work, they jokingly bring up the hypothetical of how much better their lives would be without their bosses. Dale watches a lot of Law & Order with his fiance (Lindsay Sloane) so he knows it won’t be easy and it’s hilarious watching these average joes figure out how to murder. Charlie Day is without a doubt my favorite character in this movie…he kills it!
Horrible Bosses
Kevin Spacey is a riled up businessman who doesn’t care about anyone but himself and whoever is sleeping with his wife (Julie Bowen). He’s paranoid and thinks she’s always cheating on him with every guy she meets. Colin Farrell is almost unrecognizable with his comb over and his character always has too much energy to mess around with Thai masseuses thanks to the insane amounts of cocaine he does. Jennifer Aniston is as sexy as ever as the habitually horny dentist. There’s been a lot of teasing media claiming that she finally gets nude on camera but sadly that doesn’t happen…maybe in the unrated version. All together, the villainous bosses are as fun to watch as the clueless trio trying to kill them. As the plans for murder go deeper, you have no idea what these characters are going to do and it just let’s the movie get even crazier.
Horrible Bosses
“It’s not murder if it’s justified.” The guys don’t really know how to go along killing somebody so they try hiring somebody of craigslist, asking their Indian navigational system and even just randomly asking a bartender at a sketchy bar. Finally, they come across Jamie Foxx who plays Motherfucker Jones and knows exactly what these guys need. The movie has the right blend of corny, cheesy, stupidity, ridiculousness and hilarity. You can kind of figure how some things are going to happen but there are still a couple of scenes that will surprise you and make you jump out your seat. If you’re a fan of anybody in the cast (you’re bound to be a fan of at least one), go and watch this movie because none of the stars will leave you disappointed. Trust me, you’re going to be quoting this movie for months!
